Professional journalists weren’t accorded this favour at the Beethovenfest, but our students were: an interview with the world-famous young violinist Julia Fischer or the famous Gautier Capuçon. And it was even published in the local newspaper, the Bonner Generalanzeiger!
The Question time... project at the Beethovenfest gives school students the opportunity to ask the sort of questions a professional wouldn’t think of asking – but which artists often like answering! “Why did you become a musician?”, “What made you want to play the trumpet?”…
In briefing and de-briefing workshops with a professional journalist, the students also have the elements of journalistic writing explained to them.
