Few Beethoven works have caused as much confusion and admiration as his »Große Fuge« in B-flat major, op. 133. Originally written as the finale to his op. 130 string quartet, it seemed to his contemporaries 'incomprehensible, like Chinese'. Perhaps it was written for the future. Three outstanding choreographers of our day have recently been inspired by the »Große Fuge«. Now, for the first time, their interpretations have been drawn together by the renowned Opera Ballet of Lyons. The »Große Fuge«, three times on a single evening, each completely different and fascinating. The future has begun!
