The ‘Revoluciòn Mexicana’ forms the main focus of our Campus Concert – a joint contribution from the Beethovenfest and Deutsche Welle to the great German-Mexican Year, 2016. The young musicians rollick through a programme abounding in heroes and legends, whether the ‘Feuerreiter’ or ‘Caballos de vapor’ – horsepowers. A new work was commissioned from the Mexican composer Enrico Chapela: ‘Zimmergramm’. It is an amusing verbal duel, a spy story of war and peace, revolution and liberty.
