Agnès Clément

Born 1990 in France, Agnès Clément has become one of the outstanding harpists of her generation. Having completed a brilliant formation both as harpist at the Conservatoire of Boulogne-Billancourt, she perfected her studies at the Conservatoire Nationale Supérieur de Musique de Lyon with Fabrice Pierre, obtaining the highest distinction at age 22.

Already marked out at age 18 when she won Third Prize at the Lily Laskine International Harp Competition in Paris, she was invited to participate in various live TV transmissions at France Musique. She carried off then various prizes including Second Prize at the International Valentino Bucchi Competition in Rome, the Tissier Grand-Pierre Prize at the Institut de France, the Raynaud Zurfluh Prize of the Kingdom of Music. Consecration followed in 2010 when she attained the harpist’s ‘Holy Grail’ by winning the Gold Medal at the International Harp Competition in Bloomington. In 2016, she won the First Prize at the ARD competition, including the Public Prize and the prize for the contemporary pièce.

Agnès Clément performs as recitalist and soloist throughout the world: Switzerland, Canada, USA, China, France, Belgium, Germany, with orchestras as the Indianapolis Summer Festival Orchestra, l’Orchestre d’Auvergne, l’Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine (Paris), l’Orchestre Victor Hugo Franche-Comté, Wuhan Philharmonic and Hunan Symphony Orchestras (China), SWR Symphony Orchestra, Deutsches Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra. She has been invited to play in halls and festivals as Salle Gaveau in Paris, Lyon and Healy Concert Hall in Chicago, Basel Festival Les Muséiques, Sully sur Loire Festival, Brussels Radio Klara Festival and 2012 Crossover Festival in China.

Agnès Clément is Solo Harpist of the Royal Monnaie Opera Symphony Orchestra, Brussels, and recorded a solo CD.
