Committed to Chamber Music
Renaud Capuçon is part of that generation of young musicians who have not made their name as soloists alone. He committed himself early on to chamber music and has worked with some of the most significant instrumentalists of his day. requent chamber music partners are his brother, the cellist Gautier Capuçon, with whom he was awarded an ECHO Klassik in 2007 for the best chamber music recording of 20th/21st century music, and the pianist Frank Braley. With the latter Capuçon will play three violin sonatas by Beethoven as well as once again the sonata by Jörg Widmann, which can be heard in all three concerts of this cycle.
