Hidden Commonalities

On the occasion of Peter Ruzicka’s 60th birthday in 2008 the Deutschlandfunk produced a recording of all of his works for string quartet with the Minguet Quartett, to whom the composer dedicated the sixth string quar-tet. The second and sixth string quartets can be heard in Bonn as well as two works by Robert Schumann. The Minguet Quartett is supported by the young and successful soprano Mojca Erdmann, who is able to move between the different epochs with unwavering certainty. Together the performers will uncover the hidden commonalities in the works.
