Exceptionally Talented
The Beethovenfest is able to present, in Kit Armstrong, born in 1992, an »exceptionally talented pianist and musician. His insight into the musical associations, his concentration, his ear for sound and balance as well as his incredible technical control can already stand up to strict standards.« This praise was given by none other than Alfred Brendel, Kit Armstrong’s teacher and mentor. In addition to one of his own works the young pianist selections for Bonn include two fantasias; having emerged from the free fantasizing and improvizing, this genre like no other represents the utopian and freedom-loving notion of music.
