Way into the Heart

Hélène Grimaud is an intelligent, highly expressive interpreter on a tireless search for the ultimate meaning in music. »The way into the heart of a piece demands one hundred percent commitment, intellectually, emotionally and psychologically,« says Hélène Grimaud and here she agrees with her chamber music partner, the cellist Jan Vogler. Ever since he committed himself to his instrument, the artist has been working constantly on expanding the colour spectrum of his cello sound and on refining his musical language. As a chamber music duo Hélène Grimaud and Jan Vogler are taking on Schumann, Brahms and Shostakovich.
