Isabel Dürr

Isabel Dürr was born in Stuttgart. She completed her vocal training at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in her home city. She also studied song interpretation under Konrad Richter. She sang in various productions at the Opernschule Stuttgart, she was awarded a scholarship by the International Association of Wagner Societies and attended master classes with Francisco Araiza and Margarita Lilowa.

Isabel Dürr participated in the Junge Oper Stuttgart and had her debut with the Staatsoper Stuttgart in the role of the girl in Martin Kušej’s production “Die Gezeichneten” (“The Branded”) by Franz Schreker. In 2009 she sang the role of Susanna in “Le nozze di Figaro” (W. A. Mozart) at Schloss Henfenfeld.

Since the 2009 / 2010 season Isabel Dürr has been an ensemble member of the Kammeroper Köln, where she can be heard as Musetta (“La Bohème” / G. Puccini) and as Ottilie (“Im Weissen Rössl” (“The White Horse Inn”) / R. Benatzky). She lives and works as a freelance singer in Cologne.
