Bùi Công Duy
Bùi Công Duy, born in 1981, started to play violin at the age of four under instruction of his father, Prof. Dr. Bùi Công Thanh.
In 1989, he won the second prize of Tai Nang tre music contest and in 1990, the first prize of Mua Thu national music contest.
From 1991 to 1998 he was Intermediate at Glinka music college, Novosibirsk city, Russia under instruction of Prof. M. Kuzina and professor A.Gvozdev.
From 1991 to 1995, he received the “Sibiri young talent” honor scholarship and the “young talent” scholarship from Russian Ministry of culture. He won scores of prizes, thereunder the first prize as well as Golden medal of Tchaikovski international music contest in Saint Petersburg, russia.
From 1998 to 2003 he was undergraduate at Tchaikovski national music college in Mascowva, Russia, under instruction of people’s artist, professor I. V. Bochkova and got the excellent degree.
From 2003 to 2006, he was postgraduate of performing at Tchaikovski music college under instruction of Prof. I. V Bochkova and stimutaneously was her assistant.
In 2006, he worked for Virtuose Moscow chamber orchestra under instruction of Prof. V. Spivakov.
Duy performed in many big concerts such as Saint Peterburg, in Hanoi, Samara Festival, Russia, Gala Concert in Bolshoi, Moscow, Asian week festival in Tokyo and Osaka, “Giai Dieu Mua Thu” festival and performed “Toyota classic” concerts. He also performed with famous chamber orchestras such as: Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Kapella orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic orchestra, London Festival orchestra, HoChiMinh Symfonic orchestra, VietNam National Symfonic orchestra, HaNoi Symfonic orchestra. He was given the Ministry of culture and information’s certificate of merit, Mr Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet’s certificate of merit, “creative youth” medal.
Currently, he teaches at Hanoi national music college.
