Piano Concertos, Part 2

This much was clear to Beethoven: “Nobody who has fully delved into my music will ever be able to feel abject misery again.” Pierre-Laurent Aimard will know this feeling. In the context of the Beethovenfest Bonn 2009 he will delve into all five of Beethoven’s piano concertos. After the special concert in April with the first three piano concertos, piano concertos no. 4 and no. 5 follow in this concert. He will be accompanied by one of the most fascinating groups of our day: the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, founded in 1981, with its almost 50 members from 15 different countries.
